Quality Assurance Level 1 & 2
Quality is a measure of the excellence of a product or service, including its features, unique attributes and characteristics. It could be as explicit as a contract or implied in consumer expectations of a product or service. It also includes meeting the needs of customers regarding the functionality, reliability, durability and price of the product. The quality assurance system increases customer trust and company credibility. It also improves work processes, efficiency and competitiveness. While it’s hard to keep up with frequent changes in QA while meeting production deadlines, it pays off in the long run. Manufacturing quality is compliance with specifications. It includes quality design and engineering, quality control and quality management, which are the three basic functions of quality assurance. Customer expectations have grown over time and production quality has thus become an absolute requirement. It doesn’t matter where the products are manufactured, distributed or sold. Manufacturers must always adhere to design specifications and strive to always produce quality products. Manufacturing and trade experienced a period of growth in the Middle Ages. The boom of this time helped artisans achieve prominence as invaluable artisans. Guilds became an essential part of the period’s quality of products and services, comparable to the modern International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an international standardization body composed of representatives of various national standardization organizations.
